2021 BCC Winter Doubles League II (WED) is a pickleball ladder in Anderson, Indiana. IMPORTANT: 1. This is a DOUBLES ladder - pick your partner (doesn't matter Male/Female) and play with THAT PARTNER the... entire league. 2. This league's objective is to prepare for tournaments, help you determine your rating, get practice with your partner, and play against other teams working to improve. 3. We will be using the Leap Frog Plus ranking system for this league. PLEASE read the description below under Rules! 4. ALL Communication must run through the GPN site. You can use the tiny envelope at the top right of the GPN site to e mail us. Also, we are using the "unavailable" feature on the dashboard for when you will be out. You or your partner are responsible for filling in this information. a.) On your "Main" page of the GPN site for this league, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "Dashboard" b.) Scroll to the "Unavailability" section c.) Click "date" d.) under reason type "who is out AND who is subbing for that person". e.) ALWAYS click "Save" I.E. 4/5, Amy out, Monty Subbing 4/5 Jim and Tim both out 5. It is extremely difficult to find subs when we get a cancelation on the day of! We understand that sometimes things happen and want to continue to be cautious about sickness and COVID so we think this is fair... a.) If an entire team will be out, we MUST know (via the unavailability tab on GPN) by Saturday at noon. **When an entire team is out, you do not need to get a sub team. You will just stay at your current points for the week you are out. With the Leapfrog + system, it is easy to bounce back when you return. b.) If an individual is out from your team, you MUST have GPN updated with who is out and who is subbing via the unavailability tab no later than noon on Monday. 6. SUBS!!! It is YOUR responsibility as a team to get a sub if ONE member of your team is going to be out. When getting a sub to replace you for any given week, they MUST be in similar skill level! It doesn’t have to match male or female...but similar skill level, as best possible! 7. PENALTIES... ***We ask you to be there at 5:45 and 7:45 so we can start games as promptly as possible. If you/your partner have not arrived by 6:05/8:05 per your playing time for that week, your first game will be an automatic forfeit. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE communicate with us. We want to work with you when crazy things come up/happen but we cannot do that if we don't hear from you. ***No Shows- We believe that no call/no shows show a lack of respect for your partner and the other teams in the league. It makes for a lot of difficult shuffling at the last minute and negatively affects everyone. Due to this, the penalty for no call/no shows could include immediate removal from the league. USAPickleball Rules: 2 (1 min) time outs per game, per team. Switch at 6. 1 minute when switching sides. Show more Show less
