Ladder League Under 3.0 >> 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM is a pickleball ladder in Vaughan, Ontario. The ladder league has two skill level groups - We will use the Elo rating system to seed and rank players. This system... offers several benefits and features that enhance the player experience and competition level. Balanced Matchups: The Elo rating system ensures that players are consistently matched with opponents of similar skill levels. This promotes competitive and engaging gameplay, as matches are more likely to be closely contested. Players whose skill level is over-stated, will lose more points to the lower ranked players who beat them. The goal is to get you to the right level and give you the incentive to improve. Continuous Play: As players win matches, they climb the ladder and face tougher opponents, providing a continuous challenge. Losing doesn't eliminate players; it merely adjusts their position on the ladder. Goal-Oriented Play: Climbing the ladder and reaching a higher ranking becomes a motivating goal for participants. It adds an extra layer of excitement and incentive to perform well. Promotions and Demotions: Successful players move up the ladder, while those with fewer wins may move down. This ensures that players compete against opponents of similar abilities. Match Reporting and Verification: Players self-report match results online. This ensures accurate Elo rating adjustments and maintains fairness in the system. Show more Show less
