Wednesday nights at the Eagles Club are busy with a bean bag league and a car show, so expect a FULL parking lot when you arrive.

Schedule: 8 weeks of regular play starting 6/5/2023 (recreational) and 6/7/2023 (competitive), week 9 will be a finale with playoffs.

Matches: 1 match each week

Format of Play:
- Each match is 3 games played to 15, win by 1.
- The team listed first for each game chooses SERVE or SIDE preference.
- Switch sides when one team reaches a score of 8 during a game (outside, the side matters).
- If needed, one time-out per team is allowed per game.
- 60 minutes should be enough to finish your 3 games (20 minutes per game), but if you are not finished your 3rd game when the next league is ready to begin, immediately end play and the team that is ahead will be the winner.

Reporting: Game scores entered on GPN by the winning team using a smart phone and QR codes. Clipboards with score cards will also be on each court.

Ranking: We will rank teams using a custom ranking in GPN. A team will get 1 point for each point won during a game, 1 point for each game they win, and 1 point for each match they win.

Example- Team A and Team B play 1 match of 3 games. B wins all 3 games with scores of 15-10, 15-7, and 15-12. B earns a total of 49 points (15+15+15+3 games won+ 1 match won) and A earns 29 points (10+7+12). Ranking will determine seeding in the final playoff week. This means even if you are losing a game, do not give up because each point matters!

Inclement weather: Safety is the top priority! If there is inclement weather, or the courts are wet and unsafe from earlier rain, you will be contacted via GPN email or a text message by 4:00 PM that league has been cancelled for the evening.

Rain dates: If we have any rainouts, we will try to add in more dates at the end of the regular season in July, and then have the final playoffs.

Absences and Substitutes: Your team is responsible for finding an equivalently skilled substitute if you (or both) will be absent. RAPA will NOT find subs. Use the RAPA Facebook site Rochester, MN Pickelball (https://www.facebook.com/groups/pickleballclub), the TeamReach app, or GPN to seek out a sub if you don't know one.
Make sure you communicate the information in this letter along with the date and time of your match, your gender and self-rating so similar players know if they are a match for your league and team, and the name and contact information of your partner so they know who to meet.
Any un-played games due to absences by a team on the scheduled night will result in a forfeit by the team that was not present.

Equipment: Teams are responsible for bringing their own paddles, balls, and water. Please agree on the ball you plan to use prior to playing. Shy away from wearing fluorescent yellow or similar colored clothing.

HAVE FUN: You are encouraged to eat, drink and be merry with other players and make new friends and pickleball connections. The Eagles wait staff will come down to the courts and take orders. The kitchen typically closes at 8:00 PM and the bar/club closes at 10:00 PM.
