Hello!

We've had lots of questions about how the GPN ladders work. In a nutshell, game results will move players up or down the ladder. The intent is that everyone finds a spot on the ladder where they can have the most competitive games with players of a similar skill.

The ladders in GPN do not use your player rating (eg, 3.0 or 3.5) to sort the ladder. Instead it uses a point system and everyone starts with the same number of points - 1500. As the games progress, players will earn and lose those points from each other and move up or down the ladder ranking. While the ranking points get calculated after each game, we expect it will take about three sessions for the skill groupings to emerge in the ladder.

Please remember to RSVP for the sessions each week. Not only does this help us manage the courts and prepare the matches, but there's often a waiting list of players looking to take a spot if one opens up.

GPN is a new system that will take a bit of getting used to, but please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
