Mixed's Doubles 3.5 to 5.0 Pickleball Ladder is a pickleball ladder in Savannah, Georgia.
This is a 9-week doubles ladder that is scored individually with accumulated points:
There will be a tier 1 with 12... players on Wednesday nights and a tier 2 with 12 players Tuesday nights. Warm-up starts at 6:00 pm, and all matches start at 6:15 pm.
On each night there will be 3 sets of round-robin play with all the players on your assigned court (assigned from the scores of the previous week).
After each of the three round-robin sets, there will be a progression-relegation of players to lower or higher courts. For instance, with 3 full courts in play, Court 3's highest-scoring player will advance to court 2. Court 2's highest-scoring player will advance to court 1, in addition to court 2's lowest-scoring player moving down to court 3,. Lastly, court 1's lowest-scoring player will move down to court 2.
Every 3 weeks within the 9 weeks of the league there will be progression/relegation of players between the two tiers. In tier 1, the two players who scored the lowest will move down to tier 2. Vice-versa, the top two scoring players in tier 2 will move up to tier 1.
There will be 3 sets of 3 weeks of play for a total of 9 weeks, in each set of 3 weeks, only your top two scoring weeks will count towards your cumulative score, which also means you can technically miss 1 week of each of the 3-week sets, as long as you provide a substitute who will just play for fun and not count scores for themself or you. Providing a substitute is ALWAYS REQUIRED so that we will always have all 3 courts full. I can assist in finding substitutes and will also provide a list of people on here that are wiling/able to play, with notice.
A player will receive an extra point to their overall score each time they move up a court on any given night, and a player will receive two extra points to their overall score if they move from tier 2 to tier 1. No points will be deducted for moving down. Scoring is counted by total points earned, so even in a loss your score matters.
The top 3 scoring players across both tiers at the end of the league will receive medals and cash prizes.
