Set Team Doubles 3.0 to 5.0 Round Robin March/April is a pickleball ladder in Savannah, Georgia.
This is a 4-week ladder-style team doubles league. There will be a tier 2 on Tuesday nights and a tier 1 on Thursday... nights to create the most competitive play.
All 4 weeks will be round-robin play with all other teams. Games are first to 11, switch at 6.
After the first 2 week half, the two lowest-scoring team from tier 1 will move to tier 2, and the two highest-scoring team from tier 2 will move up to tier 1.
The winning team is ALWAYS responsible for recording the score both on the whiteboard/scoresheet and on GPN, failure to do both or entering a match incorrectly will result in a point deduction from the non-entered or incorrectly entered match from the winning team.
The top three scoring teams via accumulated points, across both tiers, will receive cash prizes.
Each team is allowed ONE substitute for ONE player, ONE time during each 2-week half of the league. Each team is responsible for finding their substitute and reporting it to the league administrator. The administrator reserves the right to approve or deny players depending on skill level appropriateness, For example, the lowest seed team on tier 2 convinces a 5.0 player to sub in, I don't think so Tim.
If a sub is used more than once in a 2 week half, the top-scoring night with a sub outside of the one allowed sub night, will receive a negative 5-point penalty.
The administrator also reserves the right to move teams from tier 1 to tier 2 or vice-versa depending on need and availability in order to provide the most competitive play or to get rid of an odd number of teams within each tier. (Will try my best to work around schedule availability.) The administrator reserves the right to make adjustments to the league as deemed necessary to accommodate players and the integrity of the league.
