Doubles 3.0 to 4.5 Ladder April/May is a pickleball ladder in Savannah, Georgia.
This is a 6-week doubles ladder that is scored individually with accumulated points:
There will be a tier 1... consisting of 4.0-4.5 players on Thursday nights and a tier 2 consisting of 3.0-3.5 players Tuesday nights. There will be 12 to 16 players in each tier. Warm-up starts at 5:30 pm, and all matches start at 6:00 pm. Please get there as soon as you can to start reserving courts for the league.
After 3 weeks within the 6 weeks of the league, there will be a progression/relegation of players between the two tiers. In tier 1, the three players who scored the lowest will move down to tier 2. Vice-versa, the top three scoring players in tier 2 will move up to tier 1.
On each night there will be 3 sets of round-robin play with all the players on your assigned court (assigned from the scores of the previous week, or assigned based on available players and substitute players, will be to the discretion of the league administrator in order to preserve highest level of competition). That means there are no set teams, you will play with each of the other 3 players on the court.
After each of the three round-robin sets, there will be a progression-relegation of players to lower or higher courts. For instance, with 3 full courts in play, Court 3's highest-scoring player will advance to court 2. Court 2's highest-scoring player will advance to court 1, in addition to court 2's lowest-scoring player moving down to court 3. Lastly, court 1's lowest-scoring player will move down to court 2.
There will be 2 sets of 3 weeks of play for a total of 6 weeks, in each set of 3 weeks, only your top two scoring weeks will count towards your cumulative score, which also means you can technically miss 1 week of each of the 3-week sets.
If you miss more than one week in a 3-week set, you will be given your average score of that 3-week set minus 10 points for the second missed night. If you miss all 3 weeks in a 3-week set, you will receive no points for that 3-week set.
The top 3 scoring players across both tiers at the end of the league will receive cash prizes.
The winning team is always responsible for submitting scores on paper/board and on GPN, the winning team will lose one point for every match that is not submitted or is submitted incorrectly in any way.
The League administrator reserves the right to make changes to the rules as deemed necessary.
