Pickleball Ladder Menu
Men's Spring 2023 Singles Pickleball Ladder is a pickleball ladder in Baltimore, Maryland.
- Players can challenge someone up to 4 positions above them (eg #7 can challenge #3, but #7 cannot challenge #2) . If... the challenger wins, they move up to the position of the challenged (if #7 defeats #3, #7 "leap frogs" and becomes the new #3 and the defeated #3 moves down to #4).
- Challenge Process:
Challenge should be made directly via GPN / email / mobile text to the challenged. Two of the three methods must be used before determining a challenged party is being non-responsive and forfeits (see seven day window below).
Player being challenged needs to agree to a challenge date that is within 7 days of the challenge.
The challenged player needs to provide at least 2 playing times to the challenger. If they cannot provide two playing times during the 7 day period following the challenge, it is deemed a forfeit and a win awarded to the challenger. If, after the challenged provides two playing times, the challenger and challenged cannot determine a mutually agreeable time, the match is determined a push, and the challenger needs to cancel the challenge to ensure no result.
Can have only one challenge outstanding at a time (may withdraw a challenge at anytime, if the challenger)
- Match Process:
Best of three games to 11 (win by 2), higher ranked (lower number ranking) team picks side first (pool side serves first) and if play a third game, switch sides when first player reaches 6.
Self-officiated (officiate your side as you would want the other side officiated on your shots).
Winning team required to enter score on GPN upon conclusion for it to be recorded.
