Beginners with Coach Jeff ‘SERVE, RETURN & DRIVE’ (Reg & payment required)

REGISTRATION REQUIRED - each attendee must sign up individually, places are limited. ADULTS ONLY (18+)

This session is designed for brand new players and those still learning the rules, where to stand and how to play smart points.

Join Jeff, our IPTPA Certified Club Coach for a mix of learning, fun drills and mini-games.
No waiting in line, everyone has a spot on a court.

This lesson will focus on the 1st and 2nd shots of the game. We'll cover how to hit a good serve, how to hit a good return of serve (receive), and we'll go over rules and some strategy surrounding these areas. We'll also look at hitting a drive (a low height ball from the back of the court) that gets an easier ball to come back.

We strongly advise beginners to participate in all 4 different lessons before jumping into Open Social games to have the best experience possible.
The lessons will cover:
1. Serves, Returns & Drives
2. Dinks
3 Drops & Resets
4. Positioning
You can start on any lesson - though 1 & 2 would be the easiest as your first!

$15 per person, per lesson, paid online here on GPN, secured by Stripe.
Paddles available to hire for $2.50 from reception.


CANCELLATION POLICY:
• If you can’t attend, your fee can be transferred to another Y North Shore session within 14 days. Please email pickleball.northshore@ymcanorth.org.nz and include:

✅ The session date and time you would like to be added to
• No refund if you withdraw within 24 hours and your spot is not filled.

CLUB COACH:
Jeff is certified by the IPTPA at levels 1 and 2. He's been playing pickleball for 4 years and can coach players up to an advanced level (4.0 DUPR).
