When you join the site, you will input your playing level. You will have the following options:

2.0 - Novice
2.5
3.0 - Intermediate
3.5
4.0 - Advanced
4.5
5.0 - Expert
5.5
6.0 - Semi-Pro

As you play ladder, league, tournament and practice matches, the site will create calculated singles and doubles playing levels.

The calculations are based on a mathamatical system called the Elo System.

The system takes into account your opponent's calculated playing level, and the accuracy of each player's calculated level.

So, if you register as a 4.5 player, and you beat some opponents with higher playing levels then you, your calculated playing level could increase to something like 4.65.

The calculations are done each night, so there is small delay between when you submit your match, and when your calculated levels are updated.

Pickleball Courts

Adding pickleball courts to your favorites makes selecting a court much easier when submitting a match, or proposing a match location during a challenge.

There are two ways to add a pickleball court to your favorites.

1). On the court listing, there is an "Add to Favorites" button.

2). Anytime you submit a match, and choose the pickleball court you played at, it will add it to your favorites automatically. This goes for practice matches as well.

Submitting a pickleball court is easy. All you have to do is log in, and go to our pickleball court submission tool.

Pickleball Partners

If you have a premium membership, you mab be able to send them a private message from their profile page. It just depends on who they allow to contact them. You can find any member on the partner search page.

Are you looking for a pickleball partner? If you are looking for a pickleball partner, here are the best ways to find a hitting partner fast:
The best way to find a pickleball partner, is to go to your city, and start a discussion.

When you start a discussion, we will notify all the players in the area.

This makes it a great way to reach out to a lot of players at once. Just post a comment like this:

"Looking for a hitting partner that is 3.5 or better. I usually play at Liberty Park on the weekend."

or

"Where can I join a group of players to learn to play pickleball."

Networks

A pickleball network is your own online pickleball community.

Learn more about networks here:

If you are looking to organize all your leagues, tournaments, events and members, you will want to create a network.

See How do you create a network?

Creating a network is simple, and takes less than 5 minutes. With a network, you can create as many ladders, leagues and tournaments as you need.

Creating a network is the first step to starting a ladder, league or tournament.

To create a network, go here:

https://www.globalpickleball.network/pickleball-networks/create-a-network

There are only a few ways a player can be added to your network.

1). A player can register for GPN, and later join your network themselves.

2). A player can use a "register" link on your network, which will then add them to your network automatically.

3). You can invite players to join your network by sending them a link or using the network invite tool.

Keep in mind, there is no way to manually add players to your network. Players much go through the registration process.

But, you can manually add players to your leagues and tournaments without them needing to register.

To remove members, go to the "Members" tab of your network. From there, you should see little delete icons next to each member, assuming you are logged in, and you are a network admin.

Keep in mind, when you delete someone from your network, it doesn't delete their GTN account, or delete any of their match history. They could even rejoin your network, if you allow them.

From the home page of your network, go to the "Network Admin" button, and then to "Settings". From there, you can make any other network members an "Additional Admin".

From the home page of your network, go to the "Network Admin" button, and then to "Settings".

On the Settings page, you can select any current network member as the new Network Organizer. Once saved, that member will become the organizer and have full administrative control of the network.

From the home page of your network, go to the "Network Admin" button, and then to "Membership Approvals". From there, click the "Denied" tab. From there, you can approve anyone you previously denied.

Yes it is. Global Pickleball Network members can join multiple networks.

Network points are awarded to members of the network after winning, or losing a match within any of the network's ladders, leagues or tournaments.

The default settings awards 100 points for a win, and 10 points for a loss during the last 365 days. These settings can be changed at anytime by a network admin.

You can see a leaderboard of who has the most network points on the "Members" page of a network.

You can read more about network points here:

Ladder Leagues

Before you start a pickleball ladder, you will first need to register.

Go here to register.

Once you have registered, go here to create a ladder league: https://www.globalpickleball.network/ladder-leagues/start-a-pickleball-ladder

An administrator can duplicate a ladder by going to the "Ladder Admin -> Settings" page.

At the bottom of that page, there is a link where you can duplicate the ladder.

Yes you can. You can change your ladder's ranking system at any time. If you don't like the new ranking system, you can change it back without any issues.

You don't have to do anything different to use a wildcard. Just challenge or submit a score against a team who would usually not be playable.

An administrator can delete a ladder by going to the "Admin" button, and selecting "Delete a Ladder".

You can make any member of your network an admin for a specific ladder. To do this, open that ladder's Settings page and look for the Additional Admins section. From there, you can add additional admins who will have the same management permissions you do for that ladder.

If your ladder league includes multiple ladders, remember to repeat this process for each one where you want to grant admin access.

To add or remove player, go to the individual ladder's "Manage Players" page.

Before you can mark players as paid, make sure the ladder league has a registration fee set up. You can do this from the ladder league's Settings page.

Once a fee is in place, go to the ladder's Manage Players page. There, you'll see a list of all participants — simply select the player you want to update and mark them as Paid.

To update your availability, just go to your "Dashboard".

You can find a link to your Dashboard in the "Ladder Menu", which is on the right hand side of the main ladder page.

If you enter a ladder match twice, you will need to contact a ladder admin. They will be able to delete the extra match for you from the "Matches" tab.

This depends on the rules of the ladder. Most ladders will have a penalty for declining a challenge. Go to the "Details" page of your ladder to see the ladder rules.

Team Leagues

Tournaments

Before you start a pickleball tournament, you will first need to register.

Go here to register.

Once you have registered, go here to create a tournament: https://www.globalpickleball.network/pickleball-tournaments/start-a-pickleball-tournament

An administrator can delete a bracket by going to the "Admin" button, and selecting "Delete a Bracket".

You can make any member of your network an admin for a specific bracket. To do this, open that bracket's Settings page and look for the Additional Admins section. From there, you can add additional admins who will have the same management permissions you do for that bracket.

If your tournament includes multiple brackets, remember to repeat this process for each one where you want to grant admin access.

To add or remove player, go to the individual bracket's "Manage Players" page.

Before you can mark players as paid, make sure the tournament has a registration fee set up. You can do this from the tournament's Settings page.

Once a fee is in place, go to the bracket's Manage Players page. There, you'll see a list of all participants — simply select the player you want to update and mark them as Paid.

You actually do not need to add the "Byes" to a tournament. Just place your players on the bracket, and when you are ready, you can "finalize the bracket". The system will then add "Byes" to all the empty spots.
