Niagara Pickleball Masters is a community/network of residents wanting to play competitively and participate in tournaments locally and nationally. Many will gather here to communicate and develop their network of like-minded competitors that will assist us in reaching our goals. For example, one of the organizers of this group is ambitious to be number one in his age category of 70+ Super Seniors with the hope others might similarly challenge themselves. 2y2024 City of Niagara Falls Pickleball Tournament
Saturday, July 27th – all-day

$20 per person, per category
When registering, people are to register in pairs and pay online or in person ($40 per team, per category). The preference is to register online. The alternative is to register and pay in person at the MacBain Community Centre in Niagara Falls.
The registration deadline is the end of the day on Tuesday, July 23rd. They hope to release and send schedules by July 25 or 26.
Registration Process:
To register online, you will need to create an account with the City through the Activenet portal (https://anc.ca.apm.activecommunities.com/niagarafalls/activity/search?onlineSiteId=1&activity_select_param=2&activity_keyword=pickleball%20tournament&viewMode=list). Once you have created an account, go into the Activities section and scroll down to select the appropriate Pickleball tournament category in which you and your partner want to compete. Note: When registering for the activity, you will register yourself and your partner, including making payment for your team. Please ensure your partner's contact information is available when registering.

2yDear Pickleballers,
This week I celebrated my 1 year pickleball anniversary i.e. a year since I first played pickleball- attended a beginners pickleball clinic. It’s been a fun journey, meeting new people, focusing on fitness, learning more about the game and more importantly learning to work on my self and my mind. Thanks to many of you who are part of my network and journey. This post is to request/suggest that advanced players give back to the pickleball community. Since not everyone in the community is a member of a formal club here’s how we can giveback:
1. Join a public session ( date promoted in advance) at the Fenwick courts every 2-3 weeks. Open to all levels. Let beginners & recreational players get a comfortable experience and learn playing with intermediate & advanced players.
2. Find & mentor growing players with potential and willingness to learn.
3. Create fun competitive tournaments for all levels- Graham is already doing this. Thanks Graham.
4. Arrange clinics with the Pros ( in addition to what the city does) via rental facilities.

2yPlease create a profile on DUPR if you do not have one already. This is required for the pickleball Ontario tournament in Welland.
1. Go to https://mydupr.com, then press Signup; or, from the same DUPR webpage, download the DUPR app to your device, open the app, and press Signup.
2. At the "Claim Your Account" screen, enter your name and see if you already have a DUPR account; claim it if you do
3. If you don't have a DUPR account, press Create an Account and fill in the player details.
4. Be sure to use the same first and last name and email address as you would typically use for other pickleball sites
5. verify your email address by following the instructions in the email sent to you by DUPR.

This Series will consist of 8 Qualifiers culminating in the Series Final on August 8 - August 10 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

2yIt was quite a pickleball experience and quite a challenging event experience. The event ended at 4:30 am on Sunday, so the mixed doubles scheduled for Sunday were canceled.
Medal tally at the Four Fathers Brewery Inaugural tournament in Cambridge. Darlene & Ronda-Gold, 3.0 women doubles 50-59 age group; Greg & David - Gold, 3.0 men’s doubles 60+ age3.5 men’s doubles 60+ age group; Ray group; Dennis & Bruce- Bronze, Ray & Ved- Bronze, 3.0 men's doubles 18-49 age group. Other notable mentions: Zaheer & Patrick-Gold, 3.0, Men's Doubles, 18-29 age group (NOTL PC), Ken & Brandon- Undefeated in the Pool stage, forfeited Bronze match as it was late, 3.5, Men's Doubles, 18-49 age group.

2yLast nights meeting was a success to those that were able to find potential partners for the up coming tournament in Feb. 9,10,11 at Four Fathers Pickleball Society and Brewery. By the end of the meeting as many as 8 potential teams were established. Other interests were mentioned as we await the opening of the Niagara Pickleball Dome. The most important detail is the study of the successful regions using the Global Pickleball Network to provide clarity on all the services and benefits they have accomplished over their five years of development. With that, all will be up to speed on the things we need to organize and administrate.
