Kingsport P&R 3rd Shot Drop Tournament

Kingsport Parks and Rec will sponsor a 3rd Shot Drop tournament on October 26 for intermediate and advanced players starting at 10:00 AM. This is a unique tournament that requires teams to practice and execute one of the fundament shots in pickleball.

Guidelines:
THIRD SHOT TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

• Round Robin – Each Team Plays Other Team Once. Total of 9 preliminary games
• Each team must hit a 3rd shot drop in the kitchen after serving or fault. NVZ “IN”
• Play continues after successful 3rd shot drop
• Play continues if receiving team hits 3rd shot in air
• Games – To 9 X 1
• Away Team has choice of serve or side. Switch sides after 5 points reached by either side
• Ranking by Total points scored at end of round robin
• First tie breaker head-to-head. Second tie breaker wins
• Top four teams meet in semi-final playing game to 9X2. 1v4, 2v3
• Higher seed has choice of server or side. Switch after 5
• If teams have split wins in their preliminary round and semi-final or final round, they play a third game
