The Eastman Recreation Club, E-Town Pickleball and the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) are excited to bring you the BUS FOR ST> JUDE Pickleball Tournament to raise money for our friends and neighbors at St. Jude. The tournament is benefiting Tri Cities Affiliate Clinic of The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. The patients and their families do not receive a bill for their care. St. Jude helps children across the globe, including right Johnson City. Proceeds from the event will go to the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic that is adjoined to Niswonger Children's Hospital.

The tournament is being done in corporation with E-Town Pickleball @ The Warehouse. All events will be at E-Town @ The Warehouse in Elizabethton, TN. E-Town is a Private, Member-only Indoor Pickleball Training and Practice Facility, designed for the Serious Pickleball enthusiast. E-Town has created a premium indoor pickleball environment for players who demand the best. Whether you’re training to elevate your game or practicing staying sharp, their state-of-the-art courts, optimal spacing, and professional-grade lighting provide the perfect setting for serious pickleball enthusiasts.

The tournament is open for all players from 2.5-5.0. Players register as Novice (2.5-3.0), Intermediate (3.0-4.0) or Advanced (>4.0) and 19+ and 50+ Divisions.

Ladies, to make your pickleball experience with the Eastman Tournament one for you to remember, we are going to be providing women's V-neck shirts for our tournament shirts, so consider that when making your T-Shirt size selection.

Deadline to ensure a T-Shirt is September 30.

Registration Fees: $45 Registration that includes 1 non-Moneyball event, $5 for each additional non-Moneyball Event and $15 for each Moneyball Team event.

GENDER AND MIXED DOUBLES EVENTS
You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within five days of your registration, or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five-day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered, and all fees have been paid in full.

Format
• 50 Divisions – Age 50 by December 31, 2026
• Novice Levels are 2.5-3.0 DUPR
• Intermediate Levels are 3.0 – 4.0 DUPR
• Advanced Levels are >4.0 DUPR
• Each division will feature a minimum of six games in round robin play, and a medal round.
• Divisions with more than 8 teams may be divided into pools.
• Depending on the number of teams in the pool, round robin games will be 11 by 1 or 15 by 1.
• Teams may be divided into 2 Groups (Elite and Premier) depending on the results of pool play, with each group playing a medal round.
• Medal round games will be 15X2, unless Director chooses a different format due to time or other constraints
• All Intermediate and Advanced players must have a DUPR account (Go To MYDUPR.com to generate a DUPR account). All Intermediate and Advanced scores will be submitted to DUPR.
• The tournament Director reserves the right to change formats and groupings, dependent on the registrations
• Within each event players will play a round robin round that will allow the players to be grouped for medal rounds with players of the same ability based on round robin play.


MONEYBALL TEAM EVENTS
Eastman will be offering a day of Moneyball Team Events. Players wanting to participate in these events need to review the information below.
1. Match Format
• Teams of 4 players (2M + 2W) play 4 doubles games per match, 2 gender and 2 mixed, rally scoring to 11, win on serve.
• Teams also play a TeamMaker, rally scoring to 21, win on serve, rotating every 4 points in the order; (1)Women's Doubles, (2)Men's Doubles, (3)Mixed Doubles #1, (4)Mixed Doubles #2
• Round robin play with winner determined by Matches Won, Head-to-head, point differential, points scored
2. Team Creation
NOTE: Tournament does not use Pickleball Brackets for team creation
CAPTAINS:
• Pickleball Brackets is not used at this stage.
• Chooses a team name, recruits players, confirms DUPR ratings, ensures roster meets event rules (i.e., gender mix, rating caps, roster size),
• Submits roster via email to ghenry35@aol.com the tournament administrator
3. Player Registration
NOTE: Even though it’s a team event, every player signs up individually in Pickleball Brackets.

PLAYERS:
• Register for the division not the team, (e.g., COED: DUPR 14, DUPR 16, DUPR Unlimited)
• When you register, software will ask you for a partner. Choose one of your teammates.
• Tournament associates players to their teams based on the captain’s input
4. Team Rules and Eligibility
DUPR is used by the Tournament to determine player eligibility and division placement.
Teams are based on the combined DUPR of all players fielded for a match (typically 4 players: 2 men + 2 women). The division standard is the maximum allowed combined DUPRs total plus 0.3. DUPRs are accurate if their reliability score is >60%. DUPR with reliability 60% must be approved by the tournament director.

Division Rules
o Rule 1 - The sum of all 4 active players' DUPR ratings cannot exceed the division standard
o Rule 2 - No single player can have a DUPR above Division Cap/4 + 0.6
o Rule 3 – Non DUPR rated players (NR) will be given the average DUPR of the Division (e.g., DUPR 14 = 3.5) and must be approved by the Tournament Director
o Rule 4 - DUPR with reliability 4.1 ❌No ≤ 14.3 ✅ Yes ❌No
