Description
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)! According to the U.S. Department of Justice, one in four women will be the victim of domestic violence at some point in her lifetime, and on average, three women are killed every day at the hands of a current or former intimate partner.
This pickleball tournament event will raise funds and awareness for Womankind, a NYC-based organization which aims to empower Asian survivors of gender based violence. They are committed to helping victims overcome the trauma of domestic violence and other forms of violence (https://www.iamwomankind.org/about-us/)
The 2023 theme is #Every1KnowsSome1.
