Discovery Middle School in Alexandria, MN is a public facility that has 6 indoor courts. Drop-in hours are available throughout the year. Leagues and ladders are offered and organized by the Alexandria Community Ed office. Fall hours for open drop-in play starting September 5th are Monday - Friday 11:35am - 1pm, Saturdays 8am - 3 pm and Sundays Noon - 3 pm.. Times are subject to change so

Just a reminder of the weekend hours for indoor pickleball play at Discovery school are Saturdays 8 am - 3 pm and Sundays noon- 3 pm.
Also, there are only 3 spots open for the Wed. night Recreational Pickleball Leagues which plays on Wed evenings, will begin on October 11th and run for 5 weeks. These leagues are for the recreational player only, that are just starting out and are not proficient at all the shots and strategies in playing the game of pickleball. A great way to meet new friends!
We also still have 3 spots open for the Power Pickleball League which plays on Monday evenings and starts on October 16th and runs for 5 weeks. This league is for players that are ranked at 3.5 and above.

The drop-in open play hours that were scheduled for Thursday Aug. 24th , Tuesday Aug. 29th and Thursday August 31st have been canceled do to school activities.
This means there will be no scheduled hours for pickleball until after Labor Day.

What great weather for outside pickleball! But if you would like a break from the heat, wind and sun be sure to take advantage of Discovery's open play times on Tuesdays and Thursday 4:15-7:30 pm.
Starting on Monday July 10th there will be 3 courts available for drop-in every Monday night 5-7;30 pm through July. The Latter league is playing on the other 3 courts those nights so we are there anyway.
Please spread the word about this network so we can keep all pickleball players up to date on the happenings at Discovery.

Just a reminder tonight will be the first night of matches for the Summer Pickleball Latter at Discovery. All matches are scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm. Since we only have 14 players signed up we will have 12 players scheduled with matches each night so everyone will get a 1 bye during the season. On your bye night you are welcome invite a friend or two to come in and hit on one of the other courts since we will only be using 3 courts each night. Also we may need a sub someone doesn't show up so you could fill in if needed.
Bryce and I have our byes tonight so if you can't make it let one of us know and we could fill in.
