PBBY Spring 2025 Ladder League

Welcome to the PBBY Ladder League, where players challenge each other to climb the ranks in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles divisions! We’re using the Leap Frog Plus system to reward not only wins but also points gained in each match, encouraging players to engage in more games throughout the season. Here’s how the Leap Frog Plus scoring works:

Each match is played to 11 points, best 3 of 5 games, win by 2.
Points are awarded based on final scores, so even if you lose, your score contributes to your ranking.
For example, if Team A wins 11-1, they’ll gain a significant point boost, but if Team B wins 11-4, both teams will still accumulate points based on the match outcome.
Challenge System:

Players arrange the match location and time, with a 5-day window to complete the match once accepted.
Each player can issue up to 2 outgoing challenges and accept 1 incoming challenge at a time, challenging opponents within 3 ranks above or below.
Declining a challenge drops your rank by one spot, and any idle challenge declines after 4 days.
To keep the competition dynamic, players must compete with at least two other teams before challenging the same team again.
Season Finale:
The season will culminate in a tournament on April 5 at Pickleball Backyard, where teams will battle it out for the top ranks and ultimate bragging rights!
