Description
Join forces with your regular crew or cobble together a band of Misfits and battle it out in a weekly best-of-3 doubles contest featuring 6 players per team.
Teams start with a Captain (and any number of Co-Captains)
---Captains are the team organizers and will establish the team name, network group, home court, team description, set the rosters for Team Matches, and Submit Scores.
---Anyone can be a captain, and it's usually the most friendly/outgoing/organized person in your group, not always the best player.
Captains form Teams around them either using a network Group or open to all members.
---With a best-of-3 match format, you'll want at least 6 players, more if you desire flexibility with setting your roster.
Captains will meet/collaborate to speak for their team and agree on a schedule, format, and terms of play.
---Captains will decide together the days/times for match play, discuss the proper ways to organize the matches and courts, agree on some guidelines for hosting/hospitality, decide the length of the season, talk a little smack, and so on.
The Schedule will be set for the season
---We'll auto-schedule the matches, and review to ensure everyone has a fair balance of Home and Away.
Team Matches are played!
---Captains coordinate between their team and the other captain and set a roster for play.
host teams welcome visiting teams and provide a bit of hospitality.
---3 doubles matches are played in a best-of-3 format.
---1 point is awarded for each doubles match won, the first team to 2 points is considered the Team Match winner.
---Be gracious in both victory and defeat, this is a way to build reciprocal relationships in a friendly competition.
---Digital Trophies will be awarded at the end of season.
