Registration
Description
This is a competitive self-formed team division for players who have a prearranged team and would like to compete against other teams in the area. There will be 6 teams. Teams will be geared toward high intermediate to advanced players.
Season: September 9 - November 20
Team Size: 6-8 members, 6 players play per night. Each player must play 3 times per night. Each team must have 2 men and 2 women.
Format: 9 matches per night, all matches best 2 out 3 games. (1) Men’s Doubles, (1) Women’s Doubles, (2) Mixed Doubles, (5) Open Doubles
Subs: Shared sub pool.
DUPR: Not Recorded
Location: Legion Stadium. Wednesday Nights
Timing: Matches may either be from 6:00-9:00PM or 7:30-9:30PM.
Playoffs will take place on 11/18 @ 5:30PM & 7:30 PM
League Finals will take place on 11/20 @ 6:00PM
Understanding the division standings
Game Point - A Point won during a game played during an event night.
Game Points - The total number of game points a team won during an event night.
Match Win - Winning a matchup during an event night. 1 Match Win = 1 Match Point.
Match Wins - The total number of matchups won during an event night.
Team Wins - The team with the most Match Points during a given event night receives = 1 Team Win
Team Wins is most important
Event Scoring
Match Win = 1 Match Point
Match Loss = 0 Match Points
The team with the most Match Points during a given event night receives = 1 Team Win
if the score is tied after all matches, the most Game Points won during a night will determine who gets the Team Win.
Season Scoring
Most Team Wins, will be the top seed in the playoffs.
If there is a tie in Team Wins, the team with the most Match Points will be the winner.
If there is still a tie, head to head record will determine the winner.
If there is still a tie, head to head Game Points will determine the winner.
The Team that finishes first in the playoffs will be the league winner.
Fall Season Prizes
Team Prize - The team that finishes first will receive a 2025 membership to cape fear pickleball club.
Player Prize – The top player will receive a $100 gift card to pickleball central. The top player is the player who attends the most events per season (including playoffs). If there is a tie, player win percentage will be the tiebreaker.
