Formed in Fall 2022, our pickleball crew first hit the court under the name The Picklehawks — inspired by our original team mascot, Pickles the hawk, who proudly perched on the fence during our practices and matches, keeping a watchful eye over the action. We debuted in TCD in Spring 2023, and as the club evolved into The Nelson, so did we — rebranding as The Nasty Nelsons, a nod to our signature shot and spirited style of play.

Our roster remains filled with the same fiery, competitive players who crave top-tier matchups, love the game, and embrace every challenge with grit, good humor, and a touch of flair. At The Nelson, we don’t just play — we compete with heart.
