With 20+ years of college tennis experience, a 4.79 DUPR, and P4/DUPR coach certifications, I build confident players. I work with teens and adults from beginner to advanced. My philosophy: "You play like you train." Every 60-minute session includes a warm-up, targeted skill drills, and live-play application so your new skills stick under match pressure. As a retired educator with 33 years of experience coaching high school football , baseball and basketball, I bring a proven, structured approach to coaching at the Kitchen. I am PPR Certified Pickleball, Certified DUPR Coach, and an active member of both the USA Pickleball Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association. Having taught more than 500 lessons over the past two years at Thrive Recreation Center in Lewisville.

As a high-performance coach, I've had the privilege of coaching my daughter and her teammate to become All-American collegiate tennis players. My daughter has since transitioned to professional pickleball, winning a silver medal on the PPA tour and competing against top players like Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns. I continue to support her career by advising and drilling with her regularly. Now, I am a 4.5 pickleball player, author and podcaster. I am a highly enthusiastic pickleball player with 2 years of experience in open/private play ranging from 4.0-4.5 level. Very engaging in technical instruction, ranging from foundational "Intro to Pickleball" clinics to intermediate tactical workshops for up to 4.0+ players. I just love pickleball and all the things that come with it. I have organized lots of drills and open plays within my pickleball group too.
