Hi Alicia, I got your message. I have started playing Pickleball but for lack of a regular practice partner, seem to get stuck at the same level off and on in between partners. I would enjoy meeting up with you at Treaty Park. If it not familiar to you, it is on Wildwood Drive in St. Augustine about 2.5 miles from the US 95 interchange. The courts are pretty packed M-W-F in the morning as that is the time for beginner open play, usually open doubles game play. Monday nights there is an open clinic for beginners, usually court 8? @$5 a session from 6-7pm. Open play for beginners with Melanie and Robin (no charge, both coaches for St. Johns Recreation) on Monday 6-8PM and Wednesday 6-7PM. Their coaching is more informal and you will meet up with other beginners like me. The more advanced players are on the court T-TH PM and generally the weekends most of the day. Let me know if there is a best time for you; I can generally work my schedule around to accommodate most days/times. Also the county recreation department offers a Fundamentals of Pickleball I and Pickleball II classes, each 6 hours long for $30. One session is taught by George Gamboa (sp?) and the other with Melanie Badding and her mom Robin. There are also private lessons offered by 3 different coaches, I believe all charge $30-45/hr. Melanie Badding puts a lot of information on her Facebook page; there is also a Facebook Group called JK Pickleball for the Monday night $5 clinics. I am looking forward to meeting you! Theresa

Hi Teresa my name is Alicia. I live in Aberdeen and St. Johns County. I’ve never played pickle ball before. Looking for someone that’s a beginner also that maybe I can learn from or play with. I have been to the Trinity Park before on an outing but never played pickle ball there. Not sure if we could help one another out being we’re beginners but willing to meet you at Trinity Park to try.
