I couldn’t find the court and I wasted the fee for the game

Auri, I believe you must cancel 24 hrs or more before the game to receive a partial refund

I never got a refund when I cancelled although I did it 24 hours before and I did it because I had injured myself playing pickle ball.

You have to apply for the refund. It isn’t automatic when you cancel. It took a month after applying to receive the partial refund.

Our refund policy is stated in the event link >>> Just so you know, we simply do not have the resources to continually monitor refunds due for events. We found ourselves spending far too much time investigating refunds due. Players were signing up and cancelling far too often, and that is why we increased the admin fee from $1 to $3. The message we tried to send was only sign up if you know for sure you can play. Cancelling within 24 hours or on the day of is problematic for many reasons.


REFUND POLICY:
Demand for our programs are increasing, and many members have been signing up well in advance and then cancelling the day before. You can now sign up 8 days in advance, but if you cancel 24 hours or less before the event start time, no refund will be issued. If you do drop out in time, you must send a refund request to (email hidden), identify the event date and time you have cancelled. Please include REFUND in the subject line. All valid refunds will incur a minimum admin fee equal to the greater of either $3 or 5% from all other player event cancellations.

NOTE : We will be changing the email to our York Region email address.

When a refund is part of the computer system, no one needs to monitor it.

You can always sign up on Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning Round Robin in the GPN system to play with others and meeting people who love pickleball !!

We do not have a kids/teens program, but that is something we are considering for next summer now that we have 10 outdoor courts at Richmond Green.

In the meantime, you can sign up for our learn to play next Wednesday at 7:30 which has 2 spots open.

The City of Markham offers Pickleball Adult Level 1 and Level 2 at their community centres. You must set up an account with the City first and then register online. Registration for the Fall season begins in August.

Far as I know, Aaniin CC, Cornell CC, and Thornhill CC have adult classes. Go for Level 1 if you are a beginner. The coaches in Aaniin (Sunday) and Cornell (Wednesday) are NCCP i.e. nationally certified pickleball coaches.
